Jimmy Doyle was a mixed farmer in the Alberry Plains region of Prince Edward Island. He spent most of his life as a farmer on the family land with brief diversions to the lumber woods of New Brunswick for some additional hard earned money. Despite his labour intensive work Jimmy was an accomplished fiddler and was known by many local musicians for his talent. He was the father of Teresa Doyle an established Island entertainer who remembers him as a lover of people, treating everybody equally, and a lover of music and horses.
