Abstract
This is a lecture by Reverend Arthur O'Shea titled "The Iona Irish". The lecture includes immigration from Irish, ties to Newfoundland, first residents in PEI, first census in PEI, town names and histories, church, settlers, elections, and the total abstinence movement. Reverend O'Shea also shares a reading from a written letter, and discusses religion, community, neighborhood bonding and various other topics.
