Donnie Doyle presents to the B.I.S. Irish Lecture Heritage Series “Along Lot 7 Shore”. The lecture given is composed mostly of folklore songs and discussion of how these songs came to being - Tragedies that occurred or other local events which made the Irish people sing about them.

The challenge was to take a local event and turn it into a song. Tell a story concisely.
Irish People would die for their church, they were catholics. Parish hall extension of Parish church. Sings about a fight, song was an example how folklore operates.
Songs from this point on, would discuss story's prior to singing the church and qualities of the irish.
