Abstract
This is the ninth tape of several interviews with Captain Thomas Trenholm of Murray Harbour, P.E.I. Included in this interview is Tom's wife, Mary Trenholm (nee MacGillivray). The interview begins with Mary telling about her family and growing up in Louisbourg. She then talks about how she and Tom first met, their first trip together, and their wedding. Tom then tells about the big storm of 1927, becoming a sea captain at age 16, and trips on the Marine. Tom goes on to talk about his father trading rum for a fiddle, hauling rock from Wallace to build the breakwater in Souris, and hauling bricks from Pugwash to the Island. There is also mention of a Model-T Ford his father purchased.
