Abstract
This interview is with Clayton Ballum of Tyne Valley, P.E.I. Clayton begins by telling about his grandfather making caskets and ghost stories. He then talks about home remedies, doctors, midwives, and planting by the moon. He then goes on to talk about tractors, horses, the 1956 ice storm, and the first telephones and cars. Clayton then tells about his service in the Air Force during WWII, the Mt. Pleasant Airport, liquor scripts and moonshine, and the start of legions. He then mentions the biggest changes over the years, traveling and transportation, general stores, mills, coal, horsepower, stationary engines, and thrashing machines.
