Abstract
This is an interview with Mae Ames of Manchester, England. In this interview Mae talks about growing up in Manchester during WWII, working as a nurse during the war, rationing, her wedding, blitzes and bombings, air raids and shelters, Christmas, working at a munitions and airplane factory, gas masks, how she met her husband, courting and dances, American soldiers, her wedding and immigration to Nova Scotia, and what it was like on V-E Day and D-Day.
