Abstract
This interview is with Ralph Cooke of Cape Wolfe, P.E.I. He begins by talking about fishing at Cape Wolfe, Riley's lobster cannery, lobster fishing, and his beginnings as a fisherman at age 11. He then goes on to talk about changes in cod fishing over the years, the Cooke family name, Christmas, life growing up, his grandparents, and home remedies. Ralph then tells some stories about angry animals, tells about his first job at age 8, potato farming, the Great Depression, and his mother's good cooking. He then goes on to tell about farm animals, bootlegging and prohibition, a hurricane in 1959, big lobsters, and Howard's Cove. He talks about the Riley's, his uncle Fraser, the ice storm of 1956, foxes, and electricity. There is also mention of Irish moss, tuna, tractors, schooners, and blueberries.
