Abstract
This is an interview with Lloyd Gates of West Royalty, Charlottetown, PEI. In this interview Lloyd talks about his family home, his siblings, the Upton Airfield, West Royalty, the mill pond, working as an engraver, his family background, the family mill and how it worked, his service in the RCAF during WWII, Operation Bodenplatte, his brother's death, and other stories about his service in the air force.
