Abstract
David Mckenzie and Karen Doyle interview Louis O'Connor. Mr. O'Connor talks to them about industries and trades on the island during the early days which included Shipbuilding, Agriculture, Carpentry and Blacksmithing. He mentions that the Irish were superstitious and poor, but had unique personalities with a strong faith. He then goes on to talk about manual labor, fighting amongst the Irish and Changes in the early days.
