Abstract
This tape is the second portion of an interview with Mary "Ann" Callaghan of Lake Verde, P.E.I. This tape begins with Ann finishing a story about Tommy Keoughan. She then tells about working at a fibre factory in Maine. She tells about dances, parties, Christmas, cars, trains, and getting a job as a housekeeper for the Holmes family in Maine. She then tells about her boss coming to the Island for a wedding, the Callaghan's store, making soap, peddlers and hobos, Native Islanders, and moonshine. The interview concludes with Ann telling about the changes over the years, coming back to P.E.I., and the importance of family.
