Abstract
This interview is with Mary "Ann" Callaghan of Lake Verde, P.E.I. Ann begins by talking about her family, forerunners, and curing her eczema by crossing the Northumberland Strait. She then tells about her ancestors and the history of Lake Verde, her family, making clothes, farming, and her brothers who served in WWI. She then talks about her neighbours, school, going to town for groceries, money, and entertainment. She tells about work and chores, the butter factory, trains, general stores, haunted houses, and mills. She also mentions going to church, funerals, and wakes. There is mention of farming, horses, trains, and family throughout.

Abstract
This tape is the second portion of an interview with Mary "Ann" Callaghan of Lake Verde, P.E.I. This tape begins with Ann finishing a story about Tommy Keoughan. She then tells about working at a fibre factory in Maine. She tells about dances, parties, Christmas, cars, trains, and getting a job as a housekeeper for the Holmes family in Maine. She then tells about her boss coming to the Island for a wedding, the Callaghan's store, making soap, peddlers and hobos, Native Islanders, and moonshine. The interview concludes with Ann telling about the changes over the years, coming back to P.E.I., and the importance of family.
