Abstract
This interview is with Margaret Matilda "Hilda" MacDonald (nee MacPhee) of Clearspring and Selkirk, P.E.I. In this interview Hilda talks about the Halifax Explosion, her family, ghosts, Selkirk, Christmas, horses, homemade soap and butter, trading eggs for groceries, music and dances, fiddlers, rum running and moonshine, Captain Dicks, cars, radio, Dr. Gus, blacksmiths and sleighs, her father's funeral, pack peddlers, and traveling to Charlottetown.
