Abstract

A 2019 dramatic reading by Alan Buchanan of a letter from Lee G. Darrach to his brother, Jack Darrach. In the letter, Lee details his conflict with a regiment officer, his barrack's living conditions, and his aspirations to become a machine gunner. Lee also mentions that a draft will be sent to the Dardanelles, Turkey, in the next week. The letter was sent on August 24th, 1915, with no record of loaction.

Abstract
This interview with Gwen Edwards of Kington, Herefordshire, England begins with her telling of her work as a nanny. Gwen then goes on to talk about her parents, discusses the Watkins family, and talks about home remedies. She then goes on to talk about butchering pigs and homemade cider. Next, she tells more about the Watkins family, tells of her birth, and describes chores while working on her family's farm. Gwen then talks about walking three miles to school, the Spanish Flu, riding her bike to dances, and tells more about her job as a nanny. Discussion of the Spanish Flu returns, and there is mention of tuberculosis. She then tells of happy times walking the hills and picking fruit and berries, poisoned cows, her mail route, and her laundry and cleaning business. She tells more about her factory work, and mentions a local mill, and for the remainder of the interview she tells about her sisters Annie and Edith.

Abstract
This interview with Sheldon Coffin begins with Sheldon telling about his job as a brakeman for the Canadian National Railway Company. Sheldon then goes on to tell about sleeping in the cars, the change from steam to diesel, and becoming a conductor in 1958. Sheldon then describes the railway runs and stations all over P.E.I. He then goes on to talk about some accidents, storms, station masters, the steel bridge in Southport, and Jim Cameron's family. He tells about Charlottetown, blacksmiths, a train called The Pig's Eye, his father, growing up in Mt. Stewart, and different types of trains.
