This tape is the second interview with Augustus James "Gus" Gregory of Souris, P.E.I. Gus begins by telling about local mills, catching lobsters in the earl 1900s, and superstitions. He then talks about his family and the history of the Souris area. He mentions blacksmiths, starch factories, wakes and funerals, crossing the Atlantic during WWII, and home remedies. Other topics covered include potatoes, a German submarine near Souris, general stores, rum running and bootlegging, and the Matthew and MacLean's store.
