Abstract
This interview with Pat and Stanley Mason begins with discussion of the phantom ship. Pat and Stanley tell of different sightings of the ship, its history, and even read from a newspaper article written about Stanley's father (Geordie) seeing the ship. Stanley then goes on to tell more ghost stories. Next, they talk about smelt and salmon fishing, sailboat fishing, overfishing, and canneries. Then they tell about John Doyle and selling lobsters, Stanley's beginnings as a fisherman, a pair of boots that were too big, a ruined suit, and ends with a discussion of fishing unions and lobster prices.
