Brooks, David "Ray"

This is the first of four tapes with David "Ray" Brooks of Murray Harbour, P.E.I. In this interview Ray talks about Dr. Brehaut, his family, home remedies, the Great Depression, mills, homemade clothes, sheep, and Christmas. He also talks about telephones, WWI, the Spanish Flu, Scarlet Fever, farming, potatoes, apples, and geese.

He also talks about the Compton's, ghost stories, Hedley Penny, firewood, winters, electricity, indoor plumbing, Prowse's store, Gaelic, and airplanes. He then mentions rats, mills, the Marconi mast, his uncle and his grandfather, pack peddlers, Ches Cooper, rationing during WWII, and the big changes in his lifetime.
